Bollywood’s  sweetheart - Preity Zinta was at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Allahabad on Sunday. She looked very much in sync with the devotees. The actress had covered her head with a red dupatta as a mark of respect towards the prayers and holy offerings. She performed a few rituals with the guidance of Swami Chidanand Saraswati at the Kumbh.

Preity Zinta also performed the sacred yagna led by Swami Chidanand Saraswati who is the founder of the Ganga Action Parivar and president of the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh. 

She practised keeping maun vrat (silence )all day. Preity did not hesitate and  took a dip in the Sangam waters keeping the faith. 

 Maha Kumbh Mela is sacred as around 50 million people come to take a dip in the Holy Ganges and pray to almighty with devotion.
